Locke & Key Volume 1 Welcome To Lovecraft

Locke & Key Volume 1 Welcome To Lovecraft

A big ol’ house full of secrets, a family in mourning starting a new life and a killer at large. Throw in some unknown supernatural events and you got yourself a good time.  Stephen Kings son Joe Hill (The Cape, Thumbprint) and artist Gabriel Rodriguez (Clive Barker’s The Great And Secret Show, Angel) have brought Locke & Key to IDW Publishing.

The Locke family is trying their best to get over a tragedy and death in the family. Trying to get a fresh start they decided to move back to the family estate of Keyhouse in Lovecraft, Massachusetts. It’s evident that it’s going to take some time for the family to get back to any sense of normal. But as some of the family members start to explore the house and it’s grounds, normal may not be something they will experience for quite some time.

The artwork is so warm and welcoming that it surprise’s you with the violence and dark themes of the story. Because everyone in the family is very different, you get many points of views from what they’re all experiencing. Great read, hard to put down, artwork and writing compliment each other quite well. This is a definite read!
