Comic Review: Scarface Scarred For Life

Scarface Scarred For Life

Scarface Scarred For Life

Just when you thought Tony Montana was down it turns out he’s ready to take it all back. An interesting IDW title written by John Layman (Chew, DV8) and illustrated by Dave Crosland (Everybody’s Dead, Bad Ideas).

When last we left Tony we all assumed he was dead. But, when the D.E.A. came to check out the crime scene it turned out the old horse was still kicking. 8 months later he comes out of a comma, stuck in a wheelchair with a colostomy bag. Two bent D.E.A. agents tell him it’s either work for them or go to jail. What follows is Tony’s steady rise back to power in ways you can’t begin to imagine.

I came upon this title randomly and was really glad I did. They take all the things you love about Tony Montana and just run with it. The artwork is very cartoony, which just adds to the ridiculousness of his current situation.
