Marvel Comics Amazing Spider-man One More Day

Marvel Comics Amazing Spider-man One More Day

With his world slowing unraveling, Peter Parker must deal with a situation where his actions as a masked superhero has hurt someone close to him. J Michael Straczynski (Midnight Nation, Earth One Superman) and Joe Quesada (Daredevil) team up to tell this heart felt story of a man who has to find a way to save the one person who has been with him through everything.

Aunt May was critically injured during the Back in Black storyline during an attempt on Peter Parker’s life contracted by the Kingpin. This is a direct result of Parker revealing to the world that he is Spider-man. Now with Aunt May in the intensive care ward at the hospital and unable to keep up with the mounting bill. The hospital is giving an ultimatum. Pay the hospital bills for intensive care or they would have to transfer Aunt May to regular care where she may not survive her injuries. Parker is desperate to find a way to solve his money problems but at what cost?

Have you ever run into a situation where you have to try to do everything you can to save someone but no matter what you do, you can’t find a solution. Once I started reading this story, I couldn’t stop. The intensity and the feeling of desperation transfers from Peter Parker directly to you which makes you feel like you’re completely part of the story. I always have loved the JMS run on Amazing Spider-man and this story is no different. Marvel’s big boss, Joe Quesada, does a spectacular job on the artwork. This story directly leads into the Brand New Day story line.
