The Flash Appears on Arrow TV Series!

The Flash will be appearing as a guest on the CW Arrow TV series.  Barry Allen will be appearing in 3 episodes with the 3rd one being a backdoor pilot into the new Flash TV series being created by two of the three Arrow TV series creators, Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti and DC Comics superstar writer, Geoff Johns.  No official announcement has been made as to when the new Flash tv series will begin. Johns also wrote two upcoming episodes of Arrow for season two. These would episode 8 and 9 which most likely be the episodes the Scarlet Speedster from Central City will appear in.

This may not be the live action appearance that comic book fans have been looking forward to but it will have to do for now. Marc Guggenheim stated that he still plans on making a Flash movie and is aiming at a release date sometime in 2016.

Comic Review: Flash Rebirth

DC Comics Flash Rebirth

DC Comics Flash Rebirth

After being presumed dead for almost 25 years, Barry Allen, the Silver Age Flash, has returned to the DC Universe. This mini-series is written by Geoff Johns (JSA, Green Lantern Rebirth) and artwork is done by Ethan Van Sciver (Green Lantern Rebirth, New X-men).

Barry Allen was killed in the original DC “Crisis” story, Crisis on Infinite Earths, while trying to stop the Anti-monitor. There was much speculation on how Barry returned during the later parts of Final Crisis. Now that he’s back, he has to deal with all that has happened during his absent as well as the people that loved and respected him.

Again, Geoff Johns has not disappointed. I loved the story and it is also a great lead in to Blackest Night and as well Flashpoint. Ethan Van Sciver artwork is well done just like his previous DC titles.

JLA Volume 7 Tower Of Babel

JLA Volume 7 Tower Of Babel

How can you stop the Justice League, the most powerful team on the planet. That is the question posed by writer Mark Waid (The Brave and The Bold, Indestructible Hulk) and artist Howard Porter (Aquaman, Doc Savage) in DC’s Tower Of Babel.

Batman has a plan for everything but what does he do when they are used against him. Someone has stolen files on how to defeat all the members of the Justice League and are implementing them. It’s up to Batman to save his friends and find out who is behind all this. Even if he can do this, will the Justice League ever forgive him?

Great tale about the strongest superheros and how they deal with being utterly helpless. If you are a big Batman fan this is just one more reason as to why he kicks so much ass. But, even he is left vulnerable at some point in the story.

Comic Review: Justice League Volume 1 Origin

Justice League Volume 1 Trashed

Justice League Volume 1 Trashed

It’s the origin story of how all the members meet for the first time and formed the Justice League.  Written by Geoff Johns (Green Lantern, 52) and illustrated by Jim Lee (Gen 13, Deathblow), it’s the world’s most powerful team.

The DC Universe has been changed after the events of Flashpoint. Some changes are small and barley noticeable, while others are drastic. With the Justice League, the members have not even meet yet. A dramatic event is on the horizon that will cross the paths of these hero’s. With a great evil too powerful for any one person, they will need to ban together. Unfortunately it may take awhile before they actually work together.

Great jumping on point if you are new to the Justice League. It definitely sows the seeds for the current Trinity War. Also the origin of cyborg and how he was created is part of this volume.
