Agents of Shield / Thor: Dark World Tie-in

For those of you who have been keeping up with the latest episode of Marvel’s Agents of Shield TV Series, then you probably saw the trailer that promotes a tie-in with the new Thor movie, Dark World. I guess the people at Marvel really do know what they’re doing. I have to give a two-handed thumbs up. For those of us who hate waiting to see the next movie to continue the story, this is an awesome bonus. You can watch the movie, then get to watch the TV series to continue the storyline. I wonder what genius over at Marvel Studios thought of this!  Tune in November 19th 2013 Tuesday night to see the latest episode of Agent of Shield with the Thor movie tie-in!

Latest News: Agents of Shield TV Series

He’s alive! That’s the first thought in my head when I first found out about an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D TV series. I’m, of course, referring to Agent Phil Coulson from the Avengers movie who died a valiant death at the hands of Loki but seemly, appears to be alive and well in the trailer for the new TV series. The series will debut on September 24th, 2013 on ABC with CTV holding the rights in Canada.

The series cast consists of Clark Gregg, reprising his role as Agent Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons.  Josh Wheddon, Jed Wheddon and Maurissa Tancharoen are the creators and writers.  Cobie Smulders reprises her role as Maria Hill on the pilot and will most likely appear in future episodes since according to Josh Wheddon, she’s an integral part of the series.  Jed Wheddon stated that the TV series will play an important part in linking to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The last successful Marvel TV series that I can recall would be the classic Incredible Hulk TV series starring Bill Bixby and Lou Ferigno. With the DC Comics’ Arrow garnering a loyal following, it will be interesting how the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will fare against it.  Sink or swim, comic fans mark your calendar,  remember to set your PVR on September 24th, 2013 and “Welcome to Level 7″!
