Y The Last Man Volume 1 Unmanned

With Under The Dome picking up steam, now seems like a good time to take a look at Y The Last Man. Before he started working on Under The Dome, Brian K. Vaughan (X-Men, Swamp Thing) wrote a series with artist Pia Guerra (Doctor Who: The Forgotten) for Vertigo called Y The Last Man.

Yorick Brown was a man, no more no less. When all the men in the world died at the same time he became the only one left. Now he is the most sought after commodity in the world once someone realizes he is alive. The world has been thrown into chaos with governments collapsing, people rioting and everyday life in disarray. With all this and the fact that Yorick is the only man left ask yourself, would you want to be the last man on Earth?

What an awesome series it goes all over the place. Satisfying story, the conspiracy of how it happened, the structure of society and of course secret government groups. It’s an extremely satisfying read that I dare you to not enjoy.
